Glad you made it. Welcome to Meadowtree Farm Studios and the artwork of Richard Black which highlights the interplay between photography, drawing, painting and graphic art. Much of the work is based on my personal travels and appreciation of people, their places, and their things. Also featured are animals native to the areas I’ve visited
I hope you like the collection as much as I have enjoyed creating it through the years. The site itself will remain a work in progress as new pieces are added and new exciting collections introduced. For a starter check out a few of my favorites. I would love to hear from you and share in your thoughts and questions.

Tomorrow evening, 5/7, beginning at 5:30 PM, several of my paintings including "Alcoa" will be on exhibit at the Warwick Center for the Arts located 3259 Post Rd., Warwick, R.I. for the annual Member's Invitational show. Five other artists were also invited to participate and together the work presented will reflect the theme "Humanity and the Environment". Invitations such as these do not go out often and generally reflect a higher quality of work and accomplishment. Obviously I'm pleased to have been included. If you can't make this event I've also been invited to a similar exhibit at the South County Art Association with an opening set for 5/21. Different work will be on display at each event. Hope to see you at one, the other, or both!
Summer in “Vieux Montréal” can be a colorful and celebratory occasion including this historical reenactment along the Rue de Notre Dame. Music and aromas from the many cafes, the period architecture, and the promise of the “best” smoked meat and poutine adds to the ambiance. And then there are the crepes.
